  • Hello Everyone, Today will be the day you read a review not bias or from an upset tenet or angry person but from a resident who understands all walks of life and understands humility and patience. I will explain to you why I give this property a five star review the positives and yes negatives as well as honestly as possible. I Moved from Indiana to California at the end of February the 24th is the exact move in date of my lease to Solana At Grand. Now I had researched this complex and I had seen the reviews online of disgust and distaste towards the property when it was known as Eagles Point and as it has transitioned into Solana at Grand. I sent money applications fees applied and started my process three months before my move in date. As with any new journey in life this would prove to be a challenge as well, 24 hours before my move in date, I was notified my unit was not ready and would not be ready for a week this was a big inconvenience as i was already two days into my drive to California to move in when i was notified of this. Yes upset i was given many reasons why my unit was not ready and that a unit right down from my original unit was available to rent for the same day i needed to move in. This if your not realizing is very inconvenient as in i already had my banks, auto insurance, renters insurance basically all life set to move into this previous address which was now need to be changed in less then 24 hours. I also at time of applying had not listed pets and advised on the week moving in that now i have two cats and the little buggers are coming with they had been in my life 22 years and well through no fault of my own or the complex where now needing to move with me.(logistics am i right!) So none the less while on the road, I was told i need to resign my lease not even getting to see the unit in question to move in and that all this needed to be done and could not be done day of move in ? Obviously being human I was concerned this sounded off but did it as im coming across country and cant really stop now. After talking with Samantha she offered a one time concession to my account for all the chaos. Lets fast forward into the 1st week of April, Move in was a success i am now situated and yes I got it (THE CLASSIC THREE DAY NOTICE) it stated i was late paying rent for February 1st and the classic lingo everyone speaks of in all the other reviews this was humerus to me as i paid everything in full for February last week of move in plus the rent for April and deposit before i ever came to California. The best part was being late Feb since i didn't move in till February 24th so if your reading and following yes i could not stop laughing at the ignorance of the letter (Not the people) This are generated automatically as are in Indiana some puts them out daily as is the job they have no idea what account is what so again life just moving automated forward. When i called the office they first advised me it was zero balance no worries next day i got that generated notice (Sneaky Automated Computer) stating i have three days to pay or be EVICTED! Now this was not my better side of thinking as only time i was ever evicted in my life was when i got divorced and my ex blessed me with the ability so see my banks accounts magically liquidate themselves all assets too btw. Now lets not focus on the past move forward all that was paid then too (Logistics) . I took a loan out(which i paid back later)and handle my business. I was then told i needed to sign another new lease for pets and they needed to pay rent 70 bucks total extra.(As any tenet i then informed my cats to hit the streets if they want to live with me and make my 70 bucks) ahh yes life. Now lets talk about the amenities i was so happy to have 2 pools and 2 Jacuzzi's of which later where going to get a make over but not when i was moving per Caroline my leasing agent at the time. So one week after all that money dropped into this lease and the pools are closed and amenities stripped away for the remodel(well bollocks). So now i have all this construction to deal with from my building and from the pools and old office area, Long story short the office staff agents are smart and friendly, Mngt is working hard to restore pride in the place and its integrity. There are growing pains in every remodel and phase of growth,But remember these people are human too and work hard they try daily and listen when your angry and mad but they are not owners they are liaisons for the company so when you get upset try to remember at least you have a roof, a job, food, life could be worse then things that inconvenience us, just try to look it the picture father away will i stay or renew myself maybe or maybe not but it wont be because someone made me mad it will be because i choose something different. because this I give 5 stars to the staff who are insulted and belittled which i have witnessed when paying rent and applaud the level of dignity held. Remember they are trying to bring integrity and pride back these people i researched before moving have invested 24 million in renovations to update it will take time nothing is overnight. The new owners could have just said forget it and left everyone in what they were living in but are trying to see a better picture moving forward as for fees I too have had my share but it has a lot to do with your character and willing to understand as well. Speaking out of anger and frustration would you speak like this with or to ones you love im not on a peace parade but have compassion for fellow human is not asking a lot. I was patient willing waiting through this every single issue has been resolved every single time my unit is in building 2 where they had massive construction, I work 2 jobs and still am humble for what i have.   • Residents with pets, dogs especially I don't understand why owners cannot pick up after your pets everywhere I walk there is feces from dogs even around the area where there are green bags just for that purpose. By the fence area close to the street the ground is completely covered with feces from pets. The apartment is trying to make this place look better but this looks like we live in a dump.   • Has anyone else gotten a notice in regards to items not allowed on patio? I left my wet mop out to air dry and forgot to bring it in and because of this received a warning notice. Its funny and ridiculous because there is a unit below me that has cans in bags, toys and laundry hanging!   • It is unbelievable how inept this company is. Lets start with there being something wrong with the rental charges every month!! The reason we enter your shamble of an office in person is so that we are told in person what our charge is for the month and we pay what we are told. We also refuse to pay yet another add on for using your online service. The problem is, the staff are that terrible and the management is that useless that the value given is incorrect. This is third time this has happened, but I have personally been told the cost and I have written it down on my check in front of the person telling me the cost; then we receive a notice on our door that we owe the company $102.68 for this month of April 2018. I strongly suggest that you as a company figure out correctly what the charge is and then this will never happen, but how dare you stick a notice on my door giving me a three day notice to pay and if it isn't paid that there will be judgement on me, legal fees, court orders and reduction in credit. How dare you threaten me with this kind of legal issuance of a letter when it is you that cannot give the correct price to begin with! From now on, I will be coming and stating that I would like an audience with the assistant manager who also needs to understand that with the absence of a manager she takes the role of the manager. I will personally visit you and get the cost from you so that I know that if it is ever incorrect again then it's your doing. I also believe that charges are incorrect because your Conservice friends are just as useless as you are, it is very possible that we pay the amount, and then the Conservice bill comes in and you go ahead and tell me that I owe you money. How about this... get onto Conservice and tell them that if we are expected to pay the correct amount for rent and other charges at the beginning of the month, then Conservice needs to have their bill ready either before or on the beginning of the month also. The bill on Conservice "water heating (San Diego Gas and Electric) is also extremely suspicious because we do not know what the correct billing is. I personally called SDGE and they stated that "they do not have a meter at this location" which means we pay Conservice so that they can pay SDGE. Simply put, this is a hidden bill for a third party so we don't know if we are being billed correctly or whether or not Conservice are just cashing in extra money. Anyone can go ahead and call and SDGE will tell you that they do not have a meter here. Lets bring up the construction really quick again, they are starting to take their equipment down in building 2 and you can slowly see that they have done a whole bunch of nothing!! Things are still unfinished and they still leave a mess. Holes in the ground, nails everywhere, incomplete stairs and half painted buildings. I will be posting on here and on Yelp every month if this continues, just letting people know how terrible this management is. Speaking of Yelp, I need to make this public because this is the kind of management we are dealing with. I am walking to may apartment and the assistant manager catches me and we have small talk about the issues we are having, in the end and I still cannot believe this; the assistant manager says "I am sorry you feel this way, but if you would you can take down your Yelp review." This is management asking me to remove a bad review online to hide their screw ups. Those reviews will stay up and will continue to go up until this company can do something right but don't tell me to take something down just to benefit yourself and hide the fact that this company cannot do it's job properly. I will be coming soon to fix this money that I owe and to remove these legal actions that can apparently be taken but also don't get the charge wrong, then send me this letter and then continue to tell me what kinds of payment are acceptable! Any kind of payment should be acceptable because this is your fault, your lack of management and organization is what is unacceptable. Please, please, please get things correct next month so that this doesn't happen again and don't you dare send me another legal notice if you get it wrong next month.   • Page 44 of the contract say $0.00 for valet trash ! Not paying that and I will be requesting a break down of the charges of how I should have been billed since we were “underbilled” and where my money went since this 3rd party billing started ! I have been paying roughly $63 dollars for a studio with 2 people total and now you send me a bill of $143?? 3 different trash services?!   • To many hidden cost, and I am disappointed on the way they manage the utilities bill, the facilities. Totally messed up. I gave the check for rental payment, they insisted to include the utilities fee, although it is not released yet. I then wrote the check again, included the utilities fee, taking the amount last month, since the new amount was not ready. They told me they could not accept the check, because the updated utilities fee was released, with additional charges I've never been known. And they wanted me to cancel the check and issue the new one for the 2nd time. That was the last check I had...and it was on Sunday At the same time, they ask to move to another unit for the renovation work, just with a few days notice. That consumed all my time. And with all those delays, I could not have time to look at the new balance and issue the new check within 2 days. So they after 2 days, on Tuesday, send me a 3-day warning pay or quit immediately, with the fine for late payment. Well, I don't expect they are so rude. I'm so scared. I'm not trying to bilk.
